We really didn't know what to expect at the Labor of Love blood drive in honor of Ann Moore, but we didn't expect 271 units! Wow!
The goal was 115 and we passed that at 2 PM. I was especially touched by the many people who said they were giving for the first time. This drive not not collected a lot of blood, but it created new donors. When it was over, I looked at Ann and said, "You are loved." She said, "No, it's because so many people are affected by cancer." I'm not going to argue, but Ann motivated a lot of you to give. Thanks!

Randy is correct... you ARE loved. By lots of people. Lots and lots of people. You are loved because of the person you are. And also because of the example of goodness and love that infuses your every deed.
I gave to honor you, and also to honor all of those other previous donors whose unselfish gift has allowed you to continue to be a Mother to your children, a Wife to your husband, and an embodiment of Christian love to the rest of us.
