Ann is on a Mediterranean cruise with her parents and sister.
She left on October 22 and she comes home on November 7. Here is an email she sent: First...Happy Birthday Meredith!! I am shopping today for something special for you. I hope you are having a terrific 23rd birthday. I miss you guys so much, but I'm having an awesome time. I can't believe I'm seeing some of the stuff I am seeing!! We've been to Athens, Kotokala, Corfu, in Greece...then Alexandria, Cairo, Giza in Egypt...yes we saw the pyramids and Sphynx...and now we are back in Greece on the island of Crete. We have two more Greek islands and then we go to Ephesus in Turkey where the Virgin Mary died while in the care of John. We hope to be able to see her house. Then we will be in Istanbul. I'm very homesick and a little tired of my inside cabin, but we're having fun. I hope very much that everything is OK at home. For some reason I checked my phone and I had a signal in the middle of the sea. How in the world could that be? So I don't know if you got my voice mail or not. I noticed that I had a signal again last night while we were in the middle of the sea again....but I'm just not sure what the charges would be. I may try again. How is Toby doing without me? Does he notice that I'm gone? What did you guys do for Halloween? There was a costume party on board ship, but we didn't participate. We've seen some ghastly cruise ship shows and then we've seen some pretty good ones. I'm eating tons. I'll try to get to another internet cafe to check email. I love you all so much and miss you and will see you soon!! Love and kisses, Mom
Good for you! I'm so glad you're out there having awesome experiences---that's what life is about---doing
