A Prayer Request from Randy
I know all of you have been diligent in your prayers for Ann. Thanks.
Now I have a specific request. I'd like you to join me in something I've done every day since the beginning of Ann's five weeks at the IU Med Center. Whether I'm with Ann or at home, I always pray for her at 10:30 AM Evansville time.
That's when she gets radiation. Just set your cell phone alarm and then lift up a prayer, asking that the treatment would be effective and that God would add his own divine medicine to the mix.
I've been clinging to Mark 11:24 where Jesus says "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Now I know this doesn't mean God will give us whatever we want -- homes, cars, rock hard abs or the pefect golf swing. But I do believe he'll give us what is in His will. And I believe that it is God's will for Ann to be whole.
We'll, the other day I noticed that Jesus said this in the context of the disciples noticing that the fig tree that Jesus cursed had withered from the roots.
I know this story doesn't refer to health or healing, but I've appropriated the visual for my requests for Ann (Is that wrong?)
I'm asking Jesus to curse Ann's tumor and whither it from the roots. We've been visualizing the destruction of the tumor. I'm adding this visual to my menu.
I know there are Christians who believe that God doesn't heal -- at least in a miraculous way. I'm no theologian and I can't explain why in many cases it appears that God says no to a request for healing. But I think you have to discard way too much scripture to believe that God isn't capable of and willing to heal.
So I'm asking. I WILL NOT BE FOUND LACKING IN ASKING!
You can count me in on praying for Ann at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday through Friday next week. The Bible also says, you have not because you asked not! God knows what He is doing and we are trusting Him, but we are also ASKING!!!!!
Susan
I am joining you in prayer every day at 10:30 during Ann's treatments, asking God to destroy the tumor through the radiation and his healing power. I do believe God heals in miraculous ways: 1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15) And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him.

I believe that our God heals....and I will join the asking
in earnest as well. Blessings to you.

you all. A good friend of mine went through a similar trial and asked that we'd pray for some periods of normalcy. The
alternative is exhausting. So, I'll ask that God bring all the healing that is needed in your family, physical, emotional, mental,
and also ask that Jesus give you, so you'll recognize it , periods of normalcy - where cancer is the farthest thing from
your collective minds - so you can just be and enjoy and forget it for short respites from visualizing the "fig tree" withering.
May God continue to Bless You and us thru you and your struggles - until such time as you have the wonderful words
to tell us all...that God brought you thru this, stronger and wiser - and closer to Him.
It's the least I can do, to join you in praying for Ann
at 10:30 a.m. each day. I'm sure God's heart leaps
for joy when he sees your face and hears your
voice in asking for healing for Ann. You have been
steadfast. And you have all been such inspiration
to the world in your testimony of how you are
trusting God to walk with you on this journey.
Keep asking! Keep trusting! We will all continue
to pray! God is in the midst of it all!

I will praying at the time you requested everyday.
Gods word never fails, it all we have to hang
onto.
You both hang in there.
Count me in to pray every day at 10:30 am for Ann
during her treatments....I am coming before the Lord in
boldness asking Him to intervene on Ann's behalf. I
am holding all of you up continual prayer throughout the day.
I will pray for Ann. I would like to know if you still want prayer specifically at 10:30 ? I just started reading her blog. I am not sure if she is still having treatment at that time. I will pray for her and your family.
