I love this!

Ann; Remember that, shall we say, interesting van ride from Kingston to Montego Bay, that year you took the Aldersgate kids to Jamaica?

You know the van ride... 17 people and 42 pieces of luggage in a vehicle built for 8. Everyone that was lucky enough to have a seat was sitting on one cheek. And every time the van went into those van-sized potholes on those wonderful Jamaican roads. And when we weren't bottoming out the suspension, we were dodging goats and all manner of livestock through those mountain passes. But remember also the faces of the children at the orphanage, the klieg-light smiles and the soul-reviving laughter. The journey was a trial, but the results, oh the results on the faces of those children were pure heaven. The destination made the journey all worthwhile (well, maybe not worthwhile, but at least a fair trade). So it is for you again. Tough journey... but it will lead to sweet sweet victory. And Ann, you WILL be victorious; I believe that with all my heart. # Posted By Bunty | 7/25/07 12:07 AM

Bunty, this is a perfect analogy! I'll never forget how much my left butt cheek hurt after that trip. Well, today my left butt cheek is fine. The rest of me is even a little better today.

I bought some delicious popsicles at Trader Joe's today! I watched a hilarious episode of "The Simpson's" this afternoon. I got through radiation without crying (it hurts to lie on my back.) It was a good day!

I'll share a secret for getting through something difficult. (For me that would be MRIs and radiation.) I say the 23rd Psalm. If you haven't memorized it, please do! I thought I knew it..but I found out I had a couple of things out of order. Anyway, you never know when you're going to need it!

Thanks for the post, Bunty! I will NEVER forget those smiles!

Much Agape, Ann

Dear Ann,
Praise God for you! Thankyou for letting us be in touch with you. Thankyou for your honesty (and your sense of humor which
came through when you were describing your growing up years. That was great!). Thankyou for praising God in the midst of all the yukkiness. (Psalm 23). This is the sweet incense that so pleases and glorifies our Lord. In my yukky times after
chemotherapy (10 years ago) I also clung to the 23rd Psalm. I agree with you about memorizing it! Here's another
favorite psalm of my reunion group that is good before going asleep or at nighttime "I lie down and sleep; I wake again
because the Lord sustains me." (Psalm 3:5 ) Our prayers continue daily for you and your family. God bless you,
dear sister in Christ. Ann

Ann,
Sorry about all the funny spacing in my post. I will try to figure it out before my next comment! (Ha! )
