Some words of encouragement

I have this little purple card that my friend Lee gave to me several weeks ago. I carry it with me at all times.

Lee is the youth pastor of our church and a force to be reckoned with! He's like a whirlwind of goofiness, laughter and spiritual depth. The guy virtually explodes with love for Jesus.

Back to the purple card which is plastic and about the size of a credit card...but I'd leave home without my American Express before I'd leave home without this.

The title is: The Lord My Healer and it contains these verses:

O Lord my God, I cried out to You for help. And You healed me Ps. 30:2

Is anyone sick? He should call the elders of the church and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil, calling on the Lord to heal him. And their prayer, if offered in faith, will heal him, for the Lord will make him well. James 5:14-15

Surely he took up our sickness and carried our pains...but he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isa 53:4-5

If you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and obey it, and do what is right, then I will not make you suffer...for I am the Lord that heals you. Ex 15:26

For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds, declares the Lord Jer. 30:17

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Ps. 107:20-21

Then your light will spring forth like the dawn and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be a shield behind you. Isa 58:8

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Ps 103:2-4

This website is meant to be an encouragement to others. I am praying for you...and I know you are praying for me. You are making me strong for battle, and I can't begin to tell you how much your thoughts and prayers mean to me and my family.

Much Agape, Ann

Dear Ann,
That you and your family would share this most personal experience and open yourselves to the public this way so that we may pray with you, for you, and learn more about cancer...just makes me believe even more strongly that there ARE angels among us.....God Bless you and your family.

Ann & Randy,

I am a total stranger to you but of course I know you
two from the T.V. As I sit here reading through my tears
I realize that you are already victorious over your illness
because you know the Lord and have His promise
of eternal life. That should truly help give you peace. I
too am experiencing cancer with my father and He also
knows and loves the Lord. What peace I have gained
from knowing that. Your testimony is awesome! Look
at the number of lives you have touched. I will pray for
you daily for God's will in your life. He never leaves us
through our happiness or our sadness. God Bless you
and your family. In Christ,

Ann--Both you and Randy <and the rest of your family> are truly an inspiration for those whose lives you have touched and because of this you will be blessed many times over. That way, when we are told to 'count it all joy' it all makes sense to us. I wish you only the best for you on your trip to Indianapolis and your treatment there, and have faith that you will come out of this a solid survivor. You are steadfast and determined and have accepted what may lie ahead of you in your battle. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in this...we're behind you every step of the way. God bless you and yours.
